The NationalOne Manifesto
National sovereignty & rigorous defense of Western civilization - we must defend Western civilization, its economy and way of life ruthlessly from those who would destroy us, and we must develop the intelligence, diplomatic, information, defense and homeland security systems and resources necessary for unflinching success.
Recognize that we are in a state of war with Islamo-facism – we are living in a time that directly parallels the appeasement of Hitler in the late 1930’s, where there is mass denial of the real nature of the threat, which is working to our detriment while Islamo-fascism marches forward aggressively, taking advantage of our weakness and impotence – this will be a long war like the cold war, and our very survival is at stake – we must know our enemy if we are to succeed decisively.
Reaffirm patriotism and nationalism – we must re-embrace patriotism and
nationalism to re-assert our pride in Western civilization and, through this, in ourselves – we must actively embrace the need to fight hard and make any sacrifice necessary to ensure the survival of our way of life.
Recognize the inherent value of Western civilization and institutions to the world over the past 2,000 years – we must resist the politically correct, liberal ideologues who continue to denigrate the very institutions and values that made us great, and instead, we must take these to new heights.
Return to effective, responsive, intelligent, limited and fiscally responsible government – we must return to the key principles of Reaganism and Thatcherism: government must protect our lives, our property and our way of life – it must serve us, not dominate us. Public servants and bureaucrats must be accountable and placed on renewable, performance-based employment contracts. Let us take back our power now.
Education reform and the return to standards-based education – decades of liberal dominated, politically correct education planners have reduced our education system to an ineffective shambles marked by no standards, no benchmarks, rising illiteracy and plummeting behaviour norms. We must immediately reverse the “dumbing down of society” and regain the ability to give our children the tools they need to compete in a complex, dangerous global world where knowledge and intelligence is power.
Immigration reform and the abolition of multi-culturalism – multi-culturalism is a failed and divisive experiment which we must abandon and return instead to a “needs-based” immigration policy focused on integration, not segregation. We must deal decisively with illegal immigrants and those who support them – the integrity of our borders is paramount.
Reaffirmation of our Judaeo-Christian values and the importance of the traditional family – we must reverse the trend towards Godlessness, falling Church attendance and the erosion of the traditional family as
the basic unit of our society, and re-affirm that Judaeo-Christian values are a core element of our culture. We must recognize that an arrogant, secular elite has been waging an increasingly effective war against God and the traditional family in our public life and society at large for many years, which not only weakens our society per se, but imperils our society in the face of the united Islamo-fascist forces which are abroad in the world today. We must actively combat this disturbing trend by fostering a return to traditional family values and encouraging the highest possible levels of cooperation and coordination between all Christian faiths, as well as the Jewish faith, so that Christians and Jews can be united in the fight against the Islamo-facists.
Reaffirmation of the importance of science and technology to our way of life and future survival – our country and our culture derives its power and greatness from its early embrace of science and technology, and yet the liberal, secular progressive movement has for years been creating an environment of fear and distrust of the very tools of this power and greatness. Without the continued embrace of, and confidence in, science and technology we will be sowing the seeds of our own gradual decline.
Foster real debate about the causes of global warming and apply rigorous informed inquiry to the science of climate change before embarking on costly proposed
remedies such as Kyoto, which will endanger our economic prosperity and result in huge wealth transfers from rich countries to poor countries. We need to more fully understand the mechanisms that cause climate to change, in response to both natural and manmade climate forcing, before initiating measures having their origins in irrational environmentalism (only 30 years ago we were concerned about the possibility of an imminent ice age) – it is one thing to impose drastic measures and harsh economic penalties when an environmental problem is clear cut and severe, but quite another thing to do so when the environmental issue is not yet clearly and unequivocally substantiated by scientific data.
Tax reform to foster savings, real private enterprise, investment and the maintenance of state of the art productive assets – the US and Australia are the international “poster-children” for the powerful dynamism that can be unleashed by tax cuts and economic reforms in Western economies – we need more of these reforms, not less, and we must stridently resist the threats of the liberal idealogues to return to the stultifying era of high taxation, big government and the “big brother will watch and provide” mentality. It is no accident that great wealth was created in the 19th century before the introduction of income taxes. NationalOne supports the “Flat Tax Revolution” and the “FairTax” system which would replace today’s complicated tax system with one, simple, flat, sales tax.
Economic reform to foster domestic and international competitiveness – we must continue to streamline our regulatory system to facilitate maximum economic flexibility and competitiveness, both on a domestic and an international level, so as to maintain and enhance our leading position in the world economy.
Individual control over retirement savings – we must facilitate the continued empowerment of our citizens by developing an effective system of personal retirement savings accounts that will enable every worker to have higher retirement incomes and increased control over their retirement savings.
Implement tort law reform and curb class action suits and jury-awarded damages – our society is has become hostage to out of control litigation which is increasingly used as a weapon, which cripples both competitiveness and economic efficiency, and potentially endangers the survival of some of our largest corporations which provide thousands of jobs. The burden of lawsuits as a disincentive to doing business must urgently be dramatically reduced.
Limit the power of the American Civil Liberties Union and all similar bodies – such organizations have become major tools in the armoury of the liberal, secular progressive left in their “war from within” against our mainstream traditions and values and has enabled minority groups to effectively dictate to the silent majority. The time has come to speak up and resist this attack from within.
Intelligent, accessible, preventive-based and cost-effective health care for all – we must move towards a preventive health model which integrates alternative therapies with traditional medicine to transform the healthcare system away from its high cost, drug therapy dominated structure.
Limit the inexorable march of globalization for its own sake and the resultant outsourcing of our manufacturing to low-cost jurisdictions such as China,
regardless of the real costs of so doing – this trend will ultimately be shown to be yet another “fad” of economic theorists, and we will be its victims. While a certain amount of globalization is desirable for the health of the world economy and international trade, unthinking, unfettered globalization is harmful to our national sovereignty in the context of the coming battles in the war against Islamo-fascism – already there are many items we simply cannot manufacture locally anymore, as the factories have been closed with the outsourcing of so much of our manufacturing base to low-cost jurisdictions. Low cost manufacturing should not the sole issue of importance which drives our decisions – we must strive to encourage efficiency in our own domestic manufacturing and shore up our domestic sovereignty during these critical and dangerous times.
Eliminate our dependence on foreign oil – we cannot allow our economic security to be at risk through dependence on foreign oil. We must recognize that we are in the period of “Peak Oil”
where most of the world’s oil reserves have already been discovered, and pro-actively develop bio-fuels and the hydrogen economy as fast as possible, while at the same time dramatically increasing our nuclear power capacity and the utilization of renewable energy. Energy independence was originally one of our key competitive advantages and we must regain this through the rigorous application of new technologies. There is no time to be lost as we have been far too complacent for decades.
